Privacy Policy

Last updated: 25 May 2026

This page walks through what personal data Bet365 collects from guests, why, where it is stored, who it is shared with, plus how to exercise your rights under UK privacy law. The technical companion — cookies, analytics, browser storage — is on the Cookie Policy page; this page is the human-readable version of the same arrangement.

Bet365 is run as an independent informational platform; the fuller picture is on the About page. This privacy policy covers the Bet365 website only. After a reader clicks through to an operator's platform, that brand's own privacy policy applies; Bet365 does not share data with operators except in the limited form outlined below.

1. About Bet365 specifically

Bet365 publishes write-ups and guides about online casinos on offer to UK players. The flagship operator write-up is the Bet365 Casino homepage. This platform does not host games, run player accounts, take top-ups, hold funds or process cash-outs. There is no signup. There is no login. The default visit involves no data exchange beyond standard web traffic. Where Bet365 does collect personal info — as an example, when you write to us through the contact channels — this page outlines exactly what happens to it.

2. The British data-protection backdrop

Bet365 handles personal data matching the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018 and the thirteen GDPR principles administered by the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). For European guests, GDPR rights are also honoured. For Californian guests, CCPA rights are honoured to the extent they apply. Where a stricter rule applies under any of these frameworks, the stricter rule wins.

3. Which inputs Bet365 gathers

Three categories. Technical traffic data, voluntarily submitted contact data, plus aggregated analytics.

CategoryWhat is collectedWhyLegal basis
Technical traffic dataIP address (anonymised after 24h), browser type, device type, page URL requested, timestamp, referrer.Serve pages, prevent abuse, debug performance issues.Legitimate interest under UK GDPR Article 6 legitimate interest.
Voluntary contact dataName, email address, message content, supporting documents you choose to attach. Submitted only if you write to us.Reply to your enquiry.Consent under UK GDPR consent basis (you provide the data; we use it for the stated purpose).
Aggregated analyticsPseudonymous traffic statistics generated by Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation enabled.Understand which pages are useful and which are not.Consent (you can decline analytics cookies on first visit).

Bet365 does not collect: financial data (no payment processing happens on this domain), gambling-account credentials (we do not run accounts), biometric data, location beyond country level (derived from anonymised IP), or one-of-a-kind-category data (race, religion, health, sexual orientation, political opinion). Targeted advertising and remarketing are not used; the funding model that supports the platform is on the Affiliate Disclosure page.

4. Cookie storage plus related techniques

The cookies Bet365 uses, the third-party services that set them, plus how to control them are outlined in detail on the Cookie Policy page. The short version: strictly necessary cookies (page loading, consent banner state, abuse prevention) are always set; analytics and affiliate-tracking cookies are set only with your consent through the consent banner; you can change your roster at any time using the link in the footer.

5. Affiliate redirects plus operator-side analytics

Once you click an outbound operator link on Bet365, three things happen. First, an internal redirect at /go records the click for our analytics (whether or not you proceed). Second, your browser is forwarded to the operator's platform. Third, the operator may set its own cookies and treat the visit as a referral attribution. Bet365 does not pass your name, email, or any other identifying personal info to the operator. The operator simply learns that "a guest arrived from Bet365". When you continue to register an account on the operator's platform, that sign-on is governed by the operator's own privacy policy, not by this one.

6. Retention windows for stored information

Where retention is mandatory by law for longer — as an example, tax records under the HMRC record-keeping requirements for affiliate-related accounting — the relevant data is retained only for the legally mandatory period and not used for any other aim.

7. Parties Bet365 may pass information to

Three controlled categories. Service providers that function parts of the Bet365 infrastructure — web hosting, content delivery, email — each operating under a written data-processing agreement that limits their apply of the data to delivering the service. Analytics providers (Google Analytics 4): IP-anonymised traffic data only, no personally identifying information. Law-rule-compliance enforcement bodies and regulators: only in response to a valid legal demand, plus only the data spanned by the demand. Bet365 does not sell, rent or trade personal info to anyone, ever.

8. Geographic location of our records

Bet365 infrastructure is hosted on cloud providers in Britain and the European Economic Area. Some service providers — directly Google Analytics 4 — process data in the United States. Where data leaves the UK, the recipient is bound either by Standard Contractual Clauses or by an equivalent regime that the ICO has assessed as delivering cover at least as strong as UK law.

9. Rights you can exercise

Under the UK GDPR and equivalent international laws, you have the following rights with respect to any personal info Bet365 holds about you.

To exercise any of these rights, write to the privacy address listed on the Contact page. Bet365 will respond within 30 days, the timeframe mandatory by the UK GDPR.

10. Underage visitors and consent

Bet365 content is targeted at adult UK readers. This platform is not directed at, plus not intended for, anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal info from minors. When we turn into aware that data has been submitted by someone under 18, that data is deleted and (where applicable) the parent or guardian is notified.

11. Security

Bet365 applies industry-standard security controls: TLS 1.2+ for all data in transit; access controls and least-privilege rules on internal systems; regular write-up of who has access to what; logging of administrative actions; periodic third-party penetration testing of the public platform. No system is unbreakable; in the event of a personal-data breach that is likely to result in serious harm, the affected individuals will be notified directly and the ICO will be informed matching the ICO breach notification regime under the UK GDPR.

12. Future revisions to this document

When this policy changes, the "Last updated" date at the top is revised. Material changes — fresh categories of data collected, fresh third-party processors, changed retention periods — are accompanied by a banner on the home page for at least 30 days. Minor housekeeping changes (rewording, link updates) do not kick into action a banner.

13. Contact

Privacy-related questions are best directed through the privacy contact listed on the Contact page. Editorial questions about Bet365 content work through the editorial channel; correction requests are governed by the procedure on the Editorial Policy page. Player-safety guidance applicable to anyone reading this platform is on the Responsible Gambling page.
